Letran routs San Sebastian by 37 points

MANILA, Philippines — Colegio de San Juan de Letran picked up its second win in as many games after routng San Sebastián College-Recoletos, 99-62, in the NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Friday Letran, which opened its season with an 84-77 victory over University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, continued its winning way and demolished the Stags by 37 points. Former University of the Philippines gunner Denzil Walker led the scoring for the Knights with 25 points along with three rebounds and an assist. Tookie Chad Gammad made a stellar showing with 19 points, five steals, four rebounds, and three assists. Titing Manalili showed no rust in his passing abilities after tallying 14 points,  nine assists and five steals. San Sebastián was led by Khit Barrage, who made 15 points Earlier, the NCAA made a late cancellation notice of the San Beda University versus Jose Rizal University game as the FilOil EcoOil Centre was declared “unsafe to play” due to the moist at the arena. The match was ongoing and San Beda was leading 9-3 with 5:35 minutes remaining in the first quarter when the league decided to halt the match.  The JRU-Beda game will be played on a later date
