Travis Scott to Headline Saturday Night at 40 Love Scottsdale Pop-Up Big Game Weekend

Feb 9, 2023

Renowned celebrity restaurateur Sean Mulholland has partnered with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment to open a second 40 Love location, this time in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona.

PHOENIX - Feb. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- 40 Love Group and Avery Johnson Jr. have partnered with celebrity investors to launch a pop-up at 40 Love's newest location in old town Scottsdale during Big Game weekend, which will feature a live performance by Travis Scott (Feb. 11th). Friday's lineup will be announced shortly.

Partners of the restaurant and nightclub include Phoenix Suns All Star Devin Booker, Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins, NBA vet Jae Crowder, current Arizona Cardinal Markus Golden, and pop superstar Niall Horan, amongst a few others.

This pop-up is the first of many events for 40 Love Scottsdale, which will officially open its doors in Spring of 2023. Sponsors for Big Game Weekend include Undefeated, Jeeter, Don Londres, Coca-Cola/Sprite, Draft Kings, Ciroc, and Flerish Hydration, with The Wally Kelly Foundation as the nonprofit sponsor.

Also performing over the weekend are popular deejays DJ Spade, Zack Bia, Chase B, and DJ Bamboozle, making 40 Love Scottsdale the marquee event over the weekend. With production by The Pavé Group, Jordan Strother, who handles business development for 40 Love and who is also a Phoenix native, ensures this weekend's pop-up will be star-studded, influential, and unforgettable.

With two private rooms, two patios, two bars, a DJ booth, and a colossal dance floor, 40 Love will be the heart of Scottsdale's social scene while also serving some of the best food in town. The opening of 40 Love is one of the most anticipated nightlife openings to hit the city in years.

"I started Mulholland Bar Group in 2017 with the first 40 Love location in West Hollywood and looked at Scottsdale in 2021 with Avery (Johnson Jr.), who found the perfect location to really elevate the concept to bring a bigger and more vibrant feel to the Scottsdale area. 40 Love Scottsdale is the second out of hopefully many more locations in the future. We will be incorporating state-of-the-art food with a great day club and nightlife atmosphere. The Big Game pop-up parties will be the first kick-off events before we officially open in 2023," said Sean Mulholland.

Formula 1 star Perez considers early retirement amid Cadillac project

MEXICO CITY — Sergio “Checo” Pérez has been back in Formula 1 for less than a season and is already contemplating retirement. The Mexican driver said Tuesday that bringing Cadillac into a leading role in the sport’s top tier will take time, but he does not plan on competing with the team for much longer. “It’s a project that requires more time than I initially thought,” Pérez said in an interview with Televisa network. “I think giving a specific number (of years) is difficult, but it won’t be much longer.” The 36-year-old Pérez missed last season when Red Bull dropped him, but returned with Cadillac as it made its debut in the top category. His best results this season are a pair of 14th-place finishes. In addition, he has retired from five races due to various issues. “People who understand Formula 1 know the level I am driving at. It brought me great satisfaction to prove to myself that the circumstances of recent years were what kept me from showing my full talent,” he added. Cadillac, which also has Valtteri Bottas driving for the team, is bottom of the constructors’ championship, having yet to score a single point. “I’m aware that we are much closer to the end than the beginning, but that’s why I want to fully enjoy these Grands Prix — they are a dream,” Pérez said. Pérez explained that a key reason for considering retirement is wanting to spend more time with his wife, Carola Martínez, and their four children. “What really holds me back (from continuing) is my kids. I would love to stay as long as Fernando (Alonso), for example, but my children are at an age where I want to be around more,” he added. For now, Pérez is gearing up to compete in the United States Grand Prix later this week before heading to his home race, the Mexican Grand Prix, where he will reach 300 Formula 1 starts. “I’m excited about projects outside of motorsport,” he said. “I want to finish my time in Formula 1 on a high note, and all I can say is that we will know when (I retire) soon.”
