Reyna Law Firm Announces Austin Truck Accident Damage Claim Services For Drivers

Jul 10, 2023

Reyna Law Firm has announced an expansion of its personal injury legal services, bringing new damage claim guidance and representation options to truck accident victims in Austin, Texas.

Austin, United States - July 10, 2023 /PressCable/ —

With its latest move, Reyna Law Firms aims to put Austin drivers who have been involved in truck or 18-wheeler crashes in a stronger position to pursue due damage compensation.

Expanding to Austin serves to bring the firm’s personal injury assistance options to new Texas regions. Such services remain in dire demand because, according to the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas reported higher than average rates of semi-truck crash-related injuries within the last year. As such, Reyna Law Firm now looks to help those hurt in such accidents attain monetary recoveries.

The Texas-wide firm points to extensive medical treatment, wages lost from the inability to work or attend work, and continuous physical therapy bills as potentially costly ramifications of truck accidents. As part of its services, its attorneys draw up legal recourse strategies with the intent of securing reimbursement and settlement figures that might cover such costs.

As part of its new legal services, Reyna Law Firm looks to relieve injured parties of the stress and burdens associated with complex injury claims. Its lawyers file necessary paperwork, handle the document-gathering process, and hold negotiation sessions with those responsible for compensating victims - for example, insurance companies.

Nonetheless, Reyna Law Firm explains that satisfactory settlement agreements sometimes cannot be reached even after long periods of negotiatory correspondence with insurers. In response, the firm’s new Austin services also extend to lawsuit preparation and representation, with its lawyers able to stand by claimants in a court of law.

In this setting, Reyna Law Firm draws on evidence accumulated from the outset of cases - referring to medical records, reports from eyewitnesses, and video footage to support claims. Demonstrating culpability while clearing clients of wrongdoing are crucial elements of its new services, says the firm - with Texas’ status as an at-fault state making negligent drivers liable for damages.

Bringing its new services to Austin allows the firm to continue its compensation recovery work for clients involved in truck or other vehicular accidents. Further, since they are no-win, no-fee services, clients pay fees only for a successful legal outcome.

The firm offers consultations for its new services at its offices, with locations around the state alongside Austin.

Alyssa Valdez celebrates PVL decade-long journey amid retirement speculations

MANILA, Philippines —Philippine volleyball icon Alyssa Valdez remains thrilled that, years after her career-defining stint with the Ateneo Blue Eagles, she is still playing the sport she loves. On the Premier Volleyball League’s (PVL) 10th anniversary, Valdez, who has been playing volleyball for nearly 20 years—sees her decade-long involvement in the league as a personal milestone. “It’s a very, very huge milestone for me because, in my career, I never really thought I would still be playing this long after graduating from college. And I never imagined that I would enjoy and love volleyball this much even after 10 years or more,” she said after Creamline’s win over Akari on Saturday night at the SM Seaside Arena Cebu. “I think the legacy… what we always practice in our Creamline team… I hope they see that when you enjoy doing what you love, everything will follow naturally—the wins and everything,” she added. Valdez’s rise to stardom started with Ateneo as she guided the team to consecutive titles in 2014 and 2015, with her explosive back-row attacks and precise cross-court swings soon earning her the nicknames “The Phenom” and “Bagyong Baldo.” In the professional ranks, Valdez has won all 11 championships with Creamline in the PVL. The 33-year-old hitter was also nostalgic about playing for Cebu, recalling that the last time she played in the Queen City of the South was when she was in college. “It’s so nice to be here in Cebu. It’s my first time playing in Cebu for the PVL. The last time I played here was still back in my Ateneo days… don’t even count how long ago that was.” “I’m very, very happy with how the turnout of people turned out, and wow—we can keep coming back here again and again because it really feels like Cebu loves volleyball so much. So thank you, thank you so much to everyone who supported us.” With over 19,000 spectators showing up for PVL’s opening day, Valdez did not anticipate that the league would fill the arena. “We were talking about how coach (Sherwin Meneses) said it would be really cold inside tomorrow because it’s a new arena and everything. But when we stepped in, that’s when it sank in for us how many people there were, and how hot it already was. So we’re really overwhelmed too.” “You know, at this point, after 10 years of playing in the PVL, it’s still overwhelming to be surrounded by this much support and love. We just want to say thank you to all the Cebuanos. We really hope you enjoyed the game tonight.” With rumors of retirement circulating on social media, Valdez has one thing that she’s certain of—and that she’s still enjoying playing volleyball.  “Maybe as players, we’ll love our job even more and work even harder so that we can stay here longer, 10 years or more, or even 20 years or more, for all of us, and for the future generations of athletes and volleyball players.”

Eala on track for Alexandrova rematch or Fernandez rubber match

Eala on track for Alexandrova rematch or Fernandez rubber match

Filipino sensation Alex Eala is on track for a rematch against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova or a rubber match against Canadian Leylah Fernandez at the WTA 1000 Wuhan Open in China. World No. 18 Eala needs to get past a qualifier in her opening match likely on Monday before facing either No. 28 Alexandrova or No. 26 Fernandez who is of Filipino descent. Alexandrova and Fernandez were pitted against each other as the draw revealed on Saturday. Tournament No. 13 seed Eala battled Alexandrova at the Abu Dhabi Open quarterfinals where she fell to the latter, 3-6, 3-6, last February. Meanwhile, Eala first took on Fernandez at the Stuttgart Open round of 32, where she fell to the fellow lefty, 1-6, 4-6, last April. Eala exacted revenge on Fernandez at the Mubadala DC Open, dethroning the Fil-Canadian in the round of 16, 6–2, 7–6(1), and eventually ruled the tournament for her first WTA title last August. In the doubles of this Wuhan tournament, Eala will reunite with close pal Zeynep Sönmez. The Filipino-Turkish tandem will face the Ukrainian duo of Anhelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska in the first round. Eala and Sönmez last teamed up at the Madrid Open last May in Spain where they made a second round finish. Meanwhile, Eala is set to slip a spot to No. 19 in the WTA rankings on Monday. The live rankings on Sunday revealed Eala's slight descent from her career-high rank No. 18. Elise Mertens leaping from No. 19 to No. 14 bumped Eala down the rankings. Eala currently has 2,276 total ranking points.

Gordon nets first Barca goal as Liga leaders beat Getafe

Gordon nets first Barca goal as Liga leaders beat Getafe

BARCELONA, Spain — Anthony Gordon scored his first goal for Barcelona as the Spanish champions extended their perfect start in La Liga with a 3-0 win over Getafe on Saturday. England international Gordon opened the scoring in the second minute and Gabriel Jesus added another after half an hour for the league leaders, who have won every match they have played this season. French defender Jules Kounde tucked home the third from Lamine Yamal's cross to cap Barca's solid win against Jose Bordalas's side at Camp Nou. Barca moved five points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid, who won 2-1 at Alaves earlier, and lead Real Madrid, fourth, by nine points before Los Blancos host Villarreal later on. Barca were without their top scorer Raphinha, who sustained a hamstring problem during the international break with Brazil. Flick replaced him with former Arsenal striker and Selecao compatriot Jesus and his side came roaring out of the blocks. Gordon, who has impressed since joining this summer, grabbed his first Barca goal with a low deflected effort after bundling his way past three players. The winger was Barca's brightest spark in the first half, continuing his fine goalscoring form for England in the recent Nations League matches. Barca defender Eric Garcia forced a save from Getafe goalkeeper David Soria with a drive from distance as Flick's side controlled the game. Getafe defender Zaid Romero gave the ball away in his own box for Barca's second, passing it straight to Jesus, who stroked into the bottom corner. Soria denied Olmo before Yamal teed up Kounde for the third. The defender, making a record 194th appearance for Barca for a French player, overtaking Eric Abidal, was on hand to turn home from close range from teenage star Yamal's cross. Barca, who also won their Champions League opener, have nine victories from nine matches across all competitions.

WTA is crazy, cruel for excluding Eala from finals

WTA is crazy, cruel for excluding Eala from finals

The WTA is crazy. Or very crazy. And I am taking that position because of the WTA’s decision to exclude Alex Eala from its finals this year, citing she got disqualified for competing in the 2026 Asian Games. How cruel. Or very cruel. Okay, Eala may still be out of the WTA top 10, and figured in some so-so matches. But like it or not, she is among the biggest stars in tennis today, even getting a larger audience at the gallery and social media. And her getting named to the TIME100 Next 2026 with a write up from tennis great Rafael Nadal speaks volumes of her contributions to the sport. TIME would have chosen another established or rising male or female tennis star. But it chose Eala with reasons that Nadal clearly stated. Then Maria Sharapova, who needs no introduction, interviews Eala over her podcast. Why not another WTA-ranked player? My answer: Sharapova knows who are the real stars in tennis. The demographic that Eala also brings to the sport – whether that is 90-percent Filipino or 50-percent Asian – can never be overlooked. And don’t tell me non-Filipinos and non-Asians are not among those who are cheering Eala from the gallery or over social media. Eala also knows that she is carrying the sport of women’s tennis on her shoulders, and the organizers WTA events surely love it, especially when she brings in the crowds and views. Then the WTA excludes her from this year’s finals. What? I wonder if the WTA cares about how much the organizers of the events – from the 125 to Grand Slams – have to put in in terms of money and effort. Such events need money to happen, and the organizers must ensure sponsors that the gallery will be filled and the social media views will reach high numbers. And Eala has proven that she can fill up galleries and get the views. The organizers also go to great lengths to endear Eala to the fans, such as the meet and greet event held for the Singapore Open. Then there’s the exhibition match with Iva Jovic at the US Open that was complete with theatrics never seen in the sport. I even think that the top 5 deserved more of such theatrics. But why Eala? Eala also gave us the most memorable match at this year’s Wimbledon, beating defending champion Iga Swiatek in an epic rubber matchup. Then the WTA boots her out of the WTA finals for this year? Maybe the WTA thinks that the rising young tennis stars, mostly in their teens and are upsetting top 50 players, can easily take Eala’s place. Sorry, but a young prodigy who can beat a top 50 and eventually a top 10 player cannot thrive on a “clinical” image to get the galleries filled and the views coming. If the WTA’s popularity thrives on young players who win championships, especially Grand Slams, then Mira Andreeva, Linda Noskova, or Jovic would be much more prominent than Eala now. But that is not the case, and Eala even stole the thunder from Noskova at this year’s Wimbledon, even if the Czech emerged the champion. And come to think of it – the WTA is facing a possible operating loss of $26 million this year, based on media reports. Also, the WTA’s cash pile is estimated to settle at $15 million this year. Such developments should prompt the WTA’s leadership to take advantage of the sport’s top attractions, including Eala. The US Open organizers clearly took advantage of that by featuring Eala in an exhibition match with Jovic. But let’s make an insane assumption – maybe the WTA wants Eala to reserve her energy for next year’s grind, as this year’s competition visibly resulted in a degree of burnout for her. Just imagine the effort she put in at Wimbledon, and her dream run at the Washington Open, where she faced a good number of top players. She also added to her list of top 10 players beaten Elina Svitolina, Naomi Osaka, and current No. 1 Elena Rybakina. Eala also beat Jesica Pegula for the Washington Open title. And as I write this column, Eala has figured in about 60 single games. That’s at least six games per month. Tough grind. I am not seeking the crucifixion of WTA officials, and I even laud their move to regulate the number of games the top 50 have to play starting next year. I even believe that the players below the top 50 and 100 be given the chance to play more games including at the qualifiers, and round of 64 and 128. The WTA organizers can consider a round of 256 pitting made up of players below the top 50. It is also high time that the WTA give the players who recently won titles the chance to rest if they wish. How many times have we seen recently-crowned champions fall in the early rounds of the next events? That happened to Eala and Leylah Fernandez. And I am sure those suggestions do not sound crazy or cruel.
