Getting Brands Featured in Google AI Overviews: New Guide Released

Oct 21, 2026

Oakshire Holding Group highlights a new guide on improving brand visibility in Google AI Overviews, focused on Google's stated technical requirements, SEO fundamentals, structured data clarity, and question-based content structuring for marketing and SEO managers.

Austin, United States, October 21, 2026 /PressCable/ -- A new guide outlines practical, verifiable ways for brands to improve their chances of being featured in Google AI Overviews. The guide centers on actionable steps grounded in Google's own stated requirements rather than speculation about hidden ranking signals, offering a clearer picture of what actually influences visibility in Google Search results today.

AI Overviews have changed what counts as a successful search placement, leaving many teams unsure which levers still apply. According to Google Search Central, a page must be indexed and eligible to appear with a snippet in standard Search results to qualify as a supporting link in AI Overviews, and Google states there are no additional technical requirements beyond that baseline. The guide treats this as reassuring but easy to overlook for teams chasing specialized tactics.

Foundational SEO practices remain the deciding factor, and the guide walks through what Google recommends doing well, including making useful content easy to find through internal links, ensuring it can be crawled without restriction, and keeping important information available in text form rather than locked inside images or video alone. Google also points to overall page experience as part of this foundation, reinforcing that solid site health has no substitute.

Structured data is a common point of confusion, and the guide works to clear it up. Google does not treat structured data as a special requirement for appearing in AI Overviews; when brands do use it, the only expectation is that it accurately reflects the content visible on the page. Clearing up that misconception can save marketing teams from investing time in markup work that does little to change their odds.

Beyond technical health, the guide covers techniques for structuring content around real user questions, such as mapping the sub-questions tied to a target topic and answering them directly rather than writing only to a primary keyword, and leading each section with a self-contained answer. Question-style headings help content match natural-language searches. Industry reporting cited in the guide also suggests that building topical clusters of related pages that link together can reinforce authority on a subject.

Tracking results requires no new tooling, which the guide notes as a practical relief for busy teams, since sites appearing in AI features are already included in Search Console's standard Web search traffic reporting. That gives marketing and SEO managers a familiar way to monitor performance over time. The guide offers an evidence-based path toward stronger visibility in Google AI Overviews, consistent with Oakshire Holding Group's broader work helping organizations turn research into useful, credible guidance for their audiences.

Clamor tapped as head coach of Altas Spikers

LAS PIÑAS CITY — Multi-titled volleyball coach Dexter Clamor took over as the new head coach of the University of Perpetual Help men’s volleyball team in preparation for NCAA Season 102 this year. He replaced Michael Cariño, who handled the Altas Spikers for the past two seasons. Clamor is bringing along former Perpetual Help players Sandy Montero and EJ Casaña as part of his coaching staff. Clamor, who hails from Mariveles town in Bataan, was a public school teacher by profession before he transitioned as coach for the Cignal HD Team that won six Spikers’ Turf championships. “Well, when they called me and offered the position, honestly, I was surprised. But at the back of my mind, I felt that maybe it’s time to give back to my alma mater,” Clamor said. “I want to share my knowledge and experience that I gained from playing and coaching volleyball to the Altas team. I want to help them grow, not just as volleyball players, but also as individuals.” Returning for the team this year are John Castil, Dexter Arrozado, Klint Mateo, Charles Pallasa, James Pascua, Justin Favila, Ike Jolaton Nash Abenoja, 2nd Best Middle Blocker awardee Jester Bornel and last season’s Rookie of the Year Marc Tangon. They are joined by rookie players Daryll Torio, Dave Borasca, John Penaroyo, JP Noblefranca, Steven Corpuz, Josh Cubar, Dino Espiritu and Marius Calijan. “One of my biggest goals is to bring back the championship culture here, the same legacy that Coach Sammy [Acaylar] had left us,” Clamor added. “For the past two seasons, we failed to reach the semis, so I know this is a big challenge for the coaching staff. But I see it as an opportunity to help rebuild the program, develop the players, and bring Perpetual Help back to where it belongs.” “For me, it’s more than just accepting a coaching position. It’s about giving back to the school that helped shape me, and doing my part to bring pride and success back to the Altas program,” he said. Clamor led Perpetual Help win back-to-back NCAA championships during his collegiate playing years in seasons 86 and 87. As the star setter and leader for the Altas Spikers, Clamor enjoyed a historic collegiate career where he was also awarded the league’s Most Valuable Player and Best Setter in season 87. Alongside teammates Marcelo Joaquin Jr., Jay Dela Cruz and Adam Daquer, the Altas Spikers swept the tournament at 14–0, securing the school’s seventh men’s volleyball title under the guidance of legendary coach Acaylar. Last year, Perpetual Help topped the elims in Group A with 10-3 win-loss record and earned the twice to beat advantage in quarterfinal round. The Carino-coached team, however, lost twice to Letran and failed to advance. Perpetual Help is the winningest team in NCAA volleyball with 14 championships under the guidance of Acaylar. The Altas Spikers last won the NCAA crown in 2024.
