Toronto, Ontario -

April 11, 2023 - /PressAdvantage/ - Toronto, April 11, 2023 – AutoLeap, an all-in-one auto repair shop management software, has raised $30 million in Series B financing led by Advance Venture Partners (AVP) with participation from existing investors Bain Capital Ventures and Threshold Ventures. The funding will be used to continue modernizing the auto repair industry as AutoLeap looks to enhance its best-in-class product and continue providing white glove customer service.

“The auto repair market has been underserved by technology for too long and over the past several years, we’ve been on a journey to modernize the industry with new and cutting-edge technology to allow repair shop owners to save time, simplify their operations, and ultimately drive growth in their shops,” said Rameez Ansari, AutoLeap’s co-founder and co-CEO. “This new funding will allow us to provide world-class customer service to existing and new customers, and bring the auto repair industry to the 21st century through best-in-class technology.”

On a mission to “build trust, save time, and turbocharge growth”, AutoLeap has found early success in the auto repair industry, earning recognition and various awards from the likes of G2 which named AutoLeap the #1 ranked auto repair software and the Stevie Awards which rated AutoLeap as a favorite new software in 2022.

AutoLeap has been transformational for our customers through meaningful improvements in productivity, time savings, and revenue growth. “Since signing with AutoLeap, I’ve been able to decrease the amount of time I spend on administrative tasks by more than 40%. This translates to us servicing more vehicles and earning more profit,” said Steve Rodriguez, from Steve & Sons Auto Repair in Melbourne, Florida, a loyal AutoLeap customer. As with many AutoLeap customers, Steve reports he is now able to spend more time with his family and loved ones instead of spending nights and weekends at the shop doing administrative tasks.

“The impact that we’ve created for our customers is heartwarming and incredible to see. We are inspired every day by the tremendously positive feedback from the market. We couldn’t be more proud of our team for the tremendous effort and passion they show everyday” said Steve Lau, AutoLeap’s other co-founder and co-CEO. “As part of the fundraise, we are also thrilled to have David IbnAle from AVP join the board, and are appreciative of the continued support from Bain Capital Ventures and Threshold.”

Carlos Alcaraz dominates 2026 Vienna Open

VIENNA — Seven-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz beat Alex de Minaur, 6-1, 6-4, to win the Vienna Open on Sunday and defeat his opponent for the seventh time in as many meetings. Alcaraz has beaten the Australian on grass and clay as well as on indoor and outdoor hard courts. He sealed his latest victory with trademark panache. Alcaraz drew his opponent to the net with a sliced backhand drop shot. De Minaur retrieved it but Alcaraz lobbed him with a backhand and, after the Australian volleyed that shot back near the net, clipped a cross-court forehand that landed just in. The second-seeded Spaniard looked jubilant and cracked a broad smile after clinching his fourth title this year — including the Australian Open for a career Grand Slam — and his 28th overall. The fifth-seeded de Minaur was looking for his second title of the year. He advanced to the final of the ATP 500 event with a semifinal win against Alexander Zverev, who goes top of the rankings on Monday. Alcaraz beat Daniil Medvedev in the other semi. Meanwhile, Alcaraz’s former coach Juan Carlos Ferrero is joining Ben Shelton’s coaching staff for the 2027 season. “Huge addition to my team for this upcoming season,” the 24-year-old Shelton said Sunday on social media. “Excited to get started and put in the work this offseason.” Former world No. 1 Ferrero helped guide Alcaraz to his first six major titles before their partnership ended last December. Ferrero will be joining Shelton’s father, Bryan, in the coaching setup. The fourth-ranked Shelton won a career-best four titles in 2026 and reached his first major final at the US Open, losing to Alexander Zverev. “Ben has extraordinary talent, power and character,” Ferrero said. “I’m very happy to join Bryan and the team in this exciting new chapter.”

LIONEL MESSI SENDS INTER MIAMI TO SECOND SPOT

FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts — Lionel Messi’s late strike catapulted Inter Miami above New England and into second place with a tense 2-1 comeback victory over their MLS Eastern Conference rivals Sunday (Monday in Manila). Messi’s typically crafty effort after scurrying through three defenders in the 83rd minute was enough to secure three points, with an own goal by his teammate Ian Fray four minutes later ruled out for a marginal offside. The 39-year-old Argentine superstar also provided an improvised assist off the back of his head for German Berterame, after Daniel Gazdag had put New England in front early in the second half. Victory sent Miami a point clear of the New England Revolution with one game left, meaning a win against Charlotte on Saturday will guarantee home advantage until the Conference Finals. It also secured Miami’s spot in next year’s Concacaf Champions Cup. “It was such an important occasion ... they’re a very tough team — really difficult — so I think it was a tremendous effort,” said Berterame. After a goalless first half, New England’s Peyton Miller slipped down the right flank to the byline in the 53rd minute. His cut-back pass was backheeled by Ilay Feingold to Gazdag, who smashed the ball home. Miami came close to equalizing soon after the hour, as Berterame followed up on a Messi effort saved by Matt Turner, only to have his shot cleared off the line by Brooklyn Raines. In the 69th minute, Telasco Segovia flicked a ball high into the box toward Messi, who was racing forward between two defenders but somehow headed it blindly off the back of his head to Berterame, who scored. Messi got on the scoresheet himself in the 83rd minute, collecting the ball just outside the D, spinning and skipping past three tackles before wrapping his left foot around the ball and sending it low into the far corner past US national team goalkeeper Turner. New England thought they had been gifted an equalizer with three minutes remaining. Fray inexplicably headed a hopeful Luca Langoni cross into his own net despite no pressure, but the New England substitute was ruled offside on video review. The Eastern Conference’s final playoff berths were also determined Sunday. Columbus Crew and Orlando City both qualified after 10th-placed New York Red Bulls lost 3-2 to runaway leaders Nashville.
